Loren has a Japanese garden, with water features consisting of two ponds connected by a short stream.
The small upper pond is 5 feet by 7 feet. Filled with fresh water by the filter,
this pond has many water plants that also help
filter the water.
The small pond overflows, filling a small stream that flows
over multiple waterfalls. The stream connects to the larger pond. Along the
stream is a foot path with Japanese lights.
The larger pond is
7 feet by12 feet and is called the Dolphin Pond.
This is home to several koi and goldfish of all sizes. Edged by flagstone, this
pond and back yard are enhanced by the Japanese theme.
As you can see there is at least one
koi that is very
large.
