Thomas & Cheryl have three ponds
connected by two streams and three waterfalls. This water garden is very new,
built in the spring of 2001. The upper pond is filled with water coming out of
one of the two biological filters. This pond is not very deep at only two feet.
The middle pond is filled by a wonderful waterfall. The
water cascades out of the upper pond and drops three feet. The middle pond will
be home to the many koi babies that will show up through out the summer. This
pond overflows into a short stream that runs down to the second waterfall. This
waterfall flows into the third pond.

The main pond is 20 feet by 40 feet and is four feet deep. You can see that
this pond is home to over 100 koi that call
this place "home". The koi enjoy the large area and will gladly come
closer in the hopes that food will be handed out.
The second
filter system to this large pond system starts up the hill above the upper pond.
The water flows out of the filter and into a long and winding stream. The stream
flows along the side of the upper and middle pond. The water sneaks through the
cattails and reeds and finds it's way back into the main pond.
Thomas was on the 2001 pond tour.
