Jock and Hope have six beautiful ponds, three of the ponds are connected by a meandering stream. Many visitors to this water garden wonder miss the front yard pond. It is a small pond tucked in the edge of the yard by the front gate.

The biggest of the back yard ponds is home to many hardy water lilies. Goldfish call this home and prosper under the lily pads. They have to watch out when feeding not to take the bear's bait.

The filter is a whiskey barrel flowing into the start of a long an winding stream. The stream connects three ponds with waterfalls flowing into the ponds.

You can see one of the waterfalls filling this pond with fresh, filtered, oxygenated water. This fresh water flow keeps the fish healthy and the water clean.

The back corner pond has fountain that provides additional water aeration.

The plant in the corner is something of interest. If you look just under the water surface, you can see the roots. This plant is not potted, it is just loosely tied in the corner by a small rope. Many water plants can grow without dirt because the roots get their nutrients from the water.

Jock and Hope were on the 2001 pond tour.
